New Chrysler Engine Unveiled at Fredericksburg Chrysler Dealer

The new Chrysler Pentastar V-6 engine is far more compact and lightweight than any other Chrysler engine. It can be used in front, rear, and all-wheel drive models and is able to reduce the number of major engine components from 189 to 32. By 2014 the new Pentastar engine is expected to replace a total of seven engine models throughout the Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge line-up.

According to Bob Lee, Vice President of Engine Engineering, “The Pentastar engine is suited to meet the requirements for a full range of vehicle applications in terms of power and fuel efficiency, including passenger cars, minivans and sport utilities. It has been designed for today and many years to come.
